THE DAWN

The Dawn is an interdisciplinary production that explores gender-based violence through the eyes of a young girl. As she grows into a young woman struggling with the present, she is haunted by memories of her past. She is stuck in a patriarchal cycle of abuse. Set in a spiritual world and driven by her relationship with her ancestors, she embarks on a journey toward healing. The story unfolds through spoken word, music, and physical theatre.
